Lauren Herzak-Bauman
Slab-building Porcelain Sculpture
Lauren Herzak-Bauman will demonstrate the creation of slab-built
sculpture using porcelain clay. Using fired and unfired clay and
found objects, Herzak-Bauman creates sculptures and installations
about death and loss, commemoration and mourning. Her work has
been exhibited at The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, Northern Arizona
University Art Museum and The Clay Studio in Philadelphia. Lauren
keeps a studio at the former Canada Dry bottling warehouse in the
Seward/Longfellow neighborhood in Minneapolis.

Kevin Caufield
Throwing Large Vessels on the Wheel
Kevin Caufield will demonstrate throwing and altering large-scale
vessels on the potter’s wheel. Caufield, who has been making
functional pots for nearly 30 years, apprenticed with Bob Eckels in
Bayfield, Wl, and currently creates work primarily in his studio near
Taylors Falls. Caufield's work has been featured in
Ceramics
Monthly and
can be found in galleries throughout Minnesota,
including at Northern Clay Center. He also maintains a studio in
St. Paul and has been a long-time participating artist at the
Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

pendant. You can create a trendy bottle cap necklace with your
choice of image and your design will be sealed using a UV resin that
cures within minutes. Or make a statement with a personalized
copper charm. Stamp a name or inspirational word onto a copper
pendant in seconds, using metal alphabet stamps.
